Baby OOTD

Bedtime guide

What should a baby wear to sleep?

Find the room's temperature at its coldest overnight. Here's the sleep sack and layers for it, from the standard TOG chart.

In Celsius

In Fahrenheit

Where our numbers come from

  • 16–20°C is the bedroom temperature the NHS and The Lullaby Trust recommend.
  • Safe sleep rules (on their back, a fitted sleep sack, no hat, nothing loose, don't overheat) follow the American Academy of Pediatrics, the NHS and The Lullaby Trust.
  • TOG ratings follow the standard chart printed by sleep-sack makers.

A guide, not medical advice. Check their chest or the back of their neck: if it's hot or sweaty, take a layer off.

Every night, worked out for you.

Baby OOTD checks your baby's room and tonight's weather, then tells you what to put them in. Baby OOTD is coming to iPhone first: join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it's out.
